7 Months

Seth, for weeks I've been thinking you would turn 7 months old this upcoming weekend. I have no idea why I thought that, but the end result is that you up and turned 7 months old when I wasn't paying attention. This month feels a lot like last month, except that you've gained another tooth (that makes four teeth, all on the bottom, coming through at once), and you've started sleeping better. I decided that it was time to cut out your nighttime feedings, and it only took you about 2 nights to get on board. So now you're sleeping consistently from 8 PM to 6 AM, then you eat and go back to sleep for another couple of hours. It's wonderful!

You have zero interest in mobility. I'm so surprised. Both of your brothers were crawling at this point, but you seem to be perfectly content to stay put. You are sitting up really well, rolling every which way, and that seems to be enough for you.

You are still eating very limited solids. Most days you have no solids at all, or maybe just a few bites of table food while we're eating dinner. I'm going to try once more to make some green beans and see if you like that - you've so far rejected both bananas and sweet potatoes.

Your vocalizations are changing. You haven't let out a da-da yet, but you are very close. Your babblings are taking on more consonant sounds, and you are using patterns that sound more like actual speaking. And you are loud! And it's so cute.

We just love you so much! Happy 7 months, Seth Hayden!
