Underestimating

Last night, in an effort to drag our video game- and computer-addicted children into the sun (the BURNING sun, MY EYES!), Keith offered to pay them 5 cents for every weed they pulled in the yard. He figured this would buy him time to do some yard work while they played around, picked a few weeds, and then would eventually wander back in where they would naturally gravitate to the computer, and their hand would reform back into a mouse-shaped claw. Only he didn't know that Owen had his eye on a new Ben 10 toy at Wal-Mart. He didn't know Owen had it in him to go the distance. He pulled 310 weeds. He kept count and made a massive pile on the edge of the yard. And now, well, now Keith owes him a lot of money.

Also, he graduates from kindergarten on May 7. I have tried, and failed, to stop time.
