Trick-or-treating, Foster style

It took us 2 1/2 hours just to go around the block, but the boys thought it was totally worth it. And only once did Owen fall on his stomach and roll around like a turtle on its back, unable to get up (hilarious). We got lots of compliments on their costumes, too, which kind of creeped Owen out. Kids and adults alike kept coming up and touching him, saying they were going to eat him (kind of scary coming out of an adult in a Jason mask) and so forth, but he just kept saying, "It has glue on it!" like, hello. It was wet out, but not raining. The boys' bags ripped clear through the bottom about halfway through the night, just from being set down on the wet ground, and all their candy spilled in the pitch-black yard of one of our neighbors. I knocked on a nearby door and asked for two plastic grocery bags to finish the trick-or-treating. I thought the boys were going to freak out when their bags ripped. Luckily a kind soul with a flashlight stopped and helped us find all their candy (I brought one, but of course it didn't work). So that was a little bit of a fiasco, but all in all, not too bad for taking all three of them by myself. They were CUTE!
