Ari turned five in August, and he celebrated at Fast Lane. This is Ari with my brother and dad - I think this picture is hilarious, with both of them ignoring the birthday boy (I'm sure they weren't really ignoring him, but it's just good photography).
Owen won some major tickets at Fast Lane (for Ari's birthday)
The traditional birthday pancake (see others here)
Got to love the bath mohawks!
Got to love the bath mohawks!
Yes, he's drenched in slobber and food on his cheeks and no pants and a packed diaper. But the cute, it shines through.
Over the long Memorial Day weekend, we took the kids to the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO. It was just about as hokey as I remember, but they had fun. All the statues and fountains were nude, and naked butts abounded. We had to stop and point and laugh at EVERY SINGLE ONE.
My loves outside the chapel
A family portrait (thank you, self-timer), in the gardens behind the chapel
Now that the baby is mobile, this is how I always find him: on his way to the party.
When Owen got off the school bus today, I was just pulling this Cinnamon Swirl Bread out of the oven. Mommy win!
