Wicked!

Guess what? Thursday I was able to sneak away for a quick visit to my parents' house - get this - ALONE. I made it with one small bag, in the allotted 2-hour time frame, with no one getting sick or fighting or crying. The musical Wicked was in town, and my mom and I had tickets. So I got in Thursday afternoon, and my parents and I went to dinner at a local sushi restaurant. It was super, and a rare treat, as you can imagine - the kids don't really appreciate sushi, so Keith and I don't get there often. Afterwards my mom and I headed downtown for the show. It was so incredibly good! We had fantastic seats, the actors and sets were spectacular, and I enjoyed every second of it. I, unfortunately, didn't take all the pictures I had planned on, but I did get one of the outside of the theatre, lit in green to celebrate the show, and a quite blurry photo of Elphaba and Glinda. It was a wonderful evening! And then Friday morning found me headed back home, feeling refreshed and missing my kids. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for the fantastic fun.
